At a very early age, Yusha was diagnosed with severe constipation due to bacterial imbalance in his gut. In January of 2019, Yusha was hospitalized for one week for constipation and abdominal distention. This was the scariest time of our lives because the doctors feared he would have bowel destruction which is a life threatening situation. For one week, the doctors performed all kinds of testing and finally realized he had overgrowth of bacteria, a condition called SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and was treated with antibiotics.
After this visit, I went to many doctors to find a solution and hopefully prevent this from ever happening again and was told that there wasn’t a cure for SIBO and he had to eat fruits and vegetables to help his gut. My son was a very picky eater, so I would puree his food leaving the fiber in the liquid and this was worse for his stomach. What doctors and many people fail to understand is that when someone has a bacterial imbalance, there are many foods that they can’t eat and fiber is very rough on the stomach and in most cases makes matters worse.
One day, I was talking to my grandpa about my son’s health and he said to me, “Why don’t you give Yusha olive oil?”
He continued to tell me that a tablespoon of olive oil early in the morning before breakfast and one at night is the best way to help his gut. He told me not to buy the store oil but to use the olive oil from our lands in Lebanon. He told me in our land our olive trees are organic and the olives are hand picked and they are taken to our local village’s olive press to make pure cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. I was so happy to hear that our families in Lebanon have used our organic oil for many generations to provide healing of any kind of inflammation.
I began giving Yusha Mediterranean Gold twice a day. I started with a couple of teaspoons daily working my way up to 2 tablespoons a day. The improvements were gradual and evident that his gut was changing. He slowly began to eat new foods and his IBS symptoms began to fade away.
